A deep, bold honey harvested from towering Tualang trees, Morning Root is your daily ritual for strength, steadiness, and a slow-burning kind of power. Take it before the world begins — it’ll know the difference.

Tualang Honey  is a multifloral jungle honey produced by the rock bee, Apis dorsata. They are typically around 17–20 mm (0.7–0.8 in) long. Nests are mainly built in exposed places far off the ground, like on tree limbs, under cliff overhangs, and sometimes on buildings. These social bees are known for their aggressive defense strategies and vicious behavior when disturbed.

Our Tualang Honey is  harvested throughout peninsular Malaysia with the help of locals and indigenous people who inherited the economic activities from generation through generation. What differentiate ourselves as we build and groon our dedicated team for harvest through streneous product handling and hygiene practice. Our team of harvest were trained in food handling and the we are the only company in Malaysia who practice this.

Tualang Honey is unique because it involves harvesting honeycombs from wild Tualang trees that can grow up to 80 meters tall. This makes the process challenging and dangerous, as it requires skilled climbers to climb to the top of the trees to collect the honeycombs. The honey is then carefully extracted without using heat or chemicals to preserve its natural nutrients and enzymes.

Forest Apothecary – Morning Root

This honey is renowned for its grounding energy, immune rhythm, and slow-release vitality. In the Alpine villages of Switzerland, it is stirred into warm milk at dawn to fortify the body before a day in the mountain air. In the spice markets of Muscat, it is blended with turmeric and cardamom to soothe inflammation and keep winter colds at bay. In Kyoto, it is whisked into roasted green tea for steady focus through the afternoon. Along the coasts of Amalfi, it is drizzled over fresh ricotta with thyme as a restorative breakfast after the sea swim. In the souks of Marrakech, it is folded into sesame paste as a sustaining afternoon snack for artisans and traders alike.

Morning Root is best enjoyed first thing in the morning to awaken digestion and gently energize, or in the evening to calm and restore after travel or exertion. It pairs naturally with herbal infusions like lemongrass, sage, or rosemary, and blends seamlessly into warm tonics that honour both flavour and function.

Each jar is an anchor between the rainforest canopy and the tables of Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific — a daily reminder that strength, like honey, is cultivated slowly and shared generously.

Dear Ms. Rothmund,
Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful review.
We’re truly delighted that you appreciate the unique strength and purity of our Tualang Honey, lovingly sourced from the majestic Apis Dorsata. It means a lot to hear that it has even surpassed your expectations especially when compared to the renowned Manuka honey.
The natural antibacterial properties of Tualang Honey, particularly in oral health and during colds, are indeed remarkable and we’re grateful to have your firsthand experience affirming this.

Wishing you continued wellness and sweetness in every spoonful!

Warm regards,
The Eat Honey Pretty Team
